The purpose of this page is to provide support and publicity for NON-Chamber sponsored activities at the request of Chamber members. All information must be provided, in writing by the party interested in having their event posted.

Fundraiser to help Vivian & Ron Weien - Saturday, May 22nd from 6-9:00pm at Evergreen Events on the Square in Paola.  Dance & Silent Auction, refreshments will be served.  Donations are being accepted for the Silent Auction, please call the UPS Store in Paola, 913/294-2877.

Vivian owned & operated "A Bloomin' Florist" in downtown Ottawa for nearly 21 years.  She is currently employed by Bank of the West.  Ron is employed by UPS and they have lived in Ottawa for the last 25 years.  Vivian has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer, which has spread to her lymph nodes and bones.  The benefit is to assist the family with medical expenses.

Catch the Spirit Bike Ride- Saturday, June 12, 2010, there will be 10, 20 and 50 mile rides on the Prairie Spirit Rail Trail. There is a Power Breakfast sponsored by Kansas State Bank from 7-8:30am at Kanza Park. The 50 mile ride will start at 8:00am, with later start times for 10 & 20 miles.
