Committees are the backbone on the Chamber. All committees are volunteer and provide additional opportunities to network with others, as well as work to better Ottawa and Franklin County. Committees meet monthly at the Chamber office.

The goal for the Agri-Business committee is to promote, educate and support a greater understanding of the economic impact of agriculture and agri-business on the area's economy.  Meetings are monthly on the 3rd Tuesday at 7:00pm.  Chairperson is Jarred Sterling.

The goal of the Ambassadors is to continue to grow the membership while building relationships with current members.  Ambassadors serve as hosts at Chamber events and promote Chamber goodwill throughout the community.  The Ambassadors meet the first monthly on the first Wednesday at 7:30am.   Misty Ballantyne is the Chairperson.

 

The mission of the of the Community Image and Affairs Committee is to maintain and improve the Chamber's image within its membership as well as the general community while becoming involved in projects beneficial to the future of Ottawa and Franklin County.  The committee meets monthly, on the 2nd Wednesday at 8:00am at the Chamber.  Chairperson is Ruthanne Wasko.

The Ed & Health Committee's goal is to promote the area's educational and health care services; to support development of a workforce to meet local employer needs. Meeting are held monthly on the 2nd Monday at 11:45am. Chairperson is Dr. Jean McCally.

The goal of the Events & Promotions committee centers around events in downtown Ottawa.  The committee sponsors the Downtown Lighting Ceremony, Christmas Parade, Ladies Night Out and the 2nd Street Market and much more.  The Events & Promotionsl committee meets once a month on the 1st Thursday at 8:00am in the Chamber office.  Kathy Niehoff is the Chairperson.

The mission of the Leadership Trustees is to conduct an annual leadership class to identify and develop new leaders in Franklin County.  The Trustees meet monthly on the 2nd Thursday at 7:30am.  Chairperson is Jeff Curry.

The Legislative Action committee's goal is to review and present to the Board of Directors, recommendations for the Chamber's public stance on local, state and national issues that impact the area and to educate the community on political issues.  Meetings are monthly on the 3rd Tuesday at 4:00pm at the Chamber office.  The committee is chaired by Richard Jackson.
