Mover testimonies

A Place to Grow

We moved to Ottawa at the end of Winter for a job, looking for a more steady and stable life for our growing family. We had no idea just how wholesome a town we were moving to. We have enjoyed all of the benefits of neighborhood living and the Main Street attractions without sacrificing any of the small town feel. The city promotes neighborliness and offers the comfort of community in a world where isolation and competition has become all too common. Ottawa is simply a breath of fresh air. - Natalie A.

Finding Joy

The MMM program helped me to find joy in Ottawa, KS. I received guidance as I prepared for my move from Ryland Miller at the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce, and that support continued when I arrived in town. This community offers so much - from a beautiful downtown to many parks, bike trails, and events. There is truly something for everyone here, and the people I've met have been friendly, warm, and inviting. My favorite places include the Collective Heart Creative - a nonprofit that focuses on making art accessible to everyone- and the Ottawa Public Library where you can participate in many different groups, find your next favorite book or film, or work on a puzzle. I am grateful to MMM and the City of Ottawa for helping me to find my joy. - Annie C.
